Sony offers $350 worth of freebies to Xperia Z1, Z1S, and Z2 owners

Back during MWC 2014, Samsung unveiled Galaxy Gifts. Described as a way for Galaxy S5 owners to receive free premium content, the total value of content included in the package was over $500. Whether Galaxy S5 owners appreciated the freebies lends itself to a subjective answer, but even so, they were still freebies. Sony will look to do the same with its own set of freebies destined for Xperia Z1, Z1s, and Z2 owners.

Here is what’s included in the package:

Garmin, Full Suite
Full version of OfficeSuite Pro
50GB of Box storage until the end of time
Three-month subscription to Evernote Premium
Three-month 1TB Bitcasa storage
10 Xperia themes
One-month subscription to Social Live Premium
Three additional games and apps

Sony implied that not all of these services will roll out to Z1 and Z1s owners, though Z2 owners can benefit from all of the offered services. According to Sony, it made sure that “many” of these services would be available for Z1 and Z1s owners. If you own any of the three mentioned Xperia handsets, you have until July 31 to take advantage of the free services, which are available through the Xperia Lounge app. The Social Live Premium offer, specifically, will be available from June 1 – 30.

This recall affects all units of the Belkin BoostCharge Pro Fast Wireless Charger for Apple Watch + Power Bank 10K, identified by model number BPD005. If you own one of these chargers, you are eligible for a full refund. While no injuries have been reported, Belkin cautions that a manufacturing defect may cause the charger's lithium cell component to overheat.

Samsung’s trifold foldable might launch in 2025, and we can’t wait

Last month, we first heard whispers of a potential trifold phone from Samsung. The leak came from a source with a reputable track record, but now another source corroborates the information and gives it even more credibility.

Leaker Yeux1122 posted on Naver, sort of the Google of South Korea, that Samsung has the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Fold 7 FE, and a trifold Fold 7 variant slated for release in 2025. The Fold 7 and Fold 7 FE are expected to launch at the same time, but there's no firm timeline for the rumored trifold.
