Memorial Day weekend is almost upon us, which means T-Mobile and MetroPCS have a slew of deals and devices to offer both new and existing customers.

The highlight of these deals is the 64GB Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, which now cost the same as their respective 32GB versions. Through the promotion, you save $80, bringing the prices of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge down to $670 and $780, respectively. If you opt to pay for either handset on a monthly basis, you’ll pay nothing upfront and pay $28.33 and $32.49 for the 64GB Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, respectively.

If you don’t need that much storage and are perfectly content with 32GB, however, T-Mobile will give you a $50 Visa prepaid gift card when you buy either the 32GB Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge. Either way, you’ll have from May 23 through May 25 to take advantage of these deals.

For those whose wallets aren’t so heavy, however, T-Mobile announced it is now selling the LG G Stylo and the LG Leon LTE. You can nab the Stylo for $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $12.08, or simply buy the phone outright for $290. Meanwhile, the Leon LTE will also go for $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $6.24, with its outright cost being a much more manageable $149.76. More specifically, as originally revealed by an internal memo, the Leon LTE will be free for prepaid customers after promotional rebates.

Not to be left out, MetroPCS will offer the Leon LTE starting May 22 for $50, while the Stylo will be available on June 1 for $200. In addition, MetroPCS is kicking off two promotions today, the first of which offers a free phone or $50 off a pricier handset, if you switch from Virgin Mobile, Boost Mobile, or another prepaid competitor. Finally, the second promotion involves offering four lines of unlimited talk, text, and 2GB of 4G LTE data for $100 per month.

All in all, these seem like solid promotions, but some of them do have expiration dates, so you might want to take advantage of the deals sooner rather than later.

OnePlus 13 in Midnight Ocean beside iPhone 16 Pro in Natural Titanium.

OnePlus looks like it's hit another one out of the park with this year's OnePlus 13. The enthusiast brand's latest flagship launched in China in late October, and this week, the company officially announced it will be landing in North America on January 7, 2025. As one of the first mainstream phones to be powered by Qualcomm's bleeding-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, it should bring significant improvements in the OnePlus 13's performance, battery life, and photographic prowess compared to its predecessor.

This also puts the OnePlus 13 first in line to challenge Apple's 2024 flagship. This year, the iPhone 16 Pro has raised the bar with Apple's A18 Pro chip that powers new Apple Intelligence features and turns the smartphone into a gaming powerhouse. There's also a clever new Camera Control and studio-quality cinematography features. Does Qualcomm's latest silicon give the OnePlus 13 enough of an edge, and has the smartphone maker put it to good use? Let's dig in and find out how these two measure up to each other.

I tracked my sleep with a smart display, ring, and watch. This is my favorite
The Oura Ring app on an iPhone 16 Pro Max, showing the Sleep screen.

Since I had a heart attack four years ago, I’ve been on a journey to understand my health. A crucial part of my recovery and focus has been my sleep, and it'smade even more important by the fact that my heart attack took place in the middle of the night while I was fast asleep. Thankfully, I woke up, but our sleep can tell us a lot about our underlying health.

Virtually every wearable now offers some form of sleep tracking, but like most things in technology, not all devices are created equal. Beyond just data, there’s also the question of which is most comfortable to track your sleep, which device gives you the most reliable data, and ultimately, how you can ensure you track your sleep wherever you are.
