Ingram Micro brand V7 has announced its NAV730 and NAV740 portable navigation systems, designed for value-conscious consumers who are just looking to find their way, not invest in a multimedia extravaganza of functions they don’t need and will never use.
“The ultra-slim NAV730 and NAV740 are perfect solutions for consumers as well as commercial fleets who demand a feature-rich product at a value price point,” said Ingram Micro VP and general manager for the V7 Private Label Group, Rainer Kozlik, in a statement. “These products are part of V7’s commitment to offer innovative, reliable products at an attractive price-performance ratio to resellers worldwide.”
The NAV730 sports a 3.5-inch 320 by 240-pixel LCD touchscreen display, while the NAV740 steps up to a 4.3-inch 480 by 272-pixel touchscreen. Both units feature Windows CE, 400 MHz Samsung 2440 CPUs, USB output, SD card-based expandable storage and pre-loaded maps of the United Stats (with additional maps of Europe, Canada, and Brazil available on SD Cards, along with enhanced U.S. maps). The units feature text-to-speech voice navigation capability, and even do a little bit of that portable media player schtick: they’ll handle MP3, WMA, OGG, MPEG4, AVI, WMV, GIF, JPEG, and TIFF media.
The NAV730 carries a suggested retail price of $199, while the NAV740 goes for $299.
