Visa just announced it’s adding several big name merchants and retailers to Visa Checkout.

Starbucks, Walgreens, the NFL Shop, the Home Shopping Network, and Match now use Visa Checkout, which allows consumers to store their card information and to make payments without having to leave the merchant’s website or mobile site. You just have to log in and click a button to make and complete a purchase. The company has said that Walmart will support Visa Checkout this year as well.

Visa launched Visa Checkout in 2014, and the company says it now has more than 10 million consumer accounts extending across more than 16 countries. In the 2015 holiday period, Visa says 45 percent of Visa Checkout shoppers used a mobile device to make an online purchase.

“We are seeing tremendous Visa Checkout growth as we enter 2016 and are greatly encouraged by the enthusiastic response from consumers and merchants alike,” said Sam Shrauger, senior vice president of Visa’s Digital Solutions, in a news statement. “By re-engineering the Visa card for the digital world, we’re delivering a better way to pay through connected and mobile devices.”

Walmart also recently launched a new method which will enable its shoppers to pay faster — except Walmart Pay requires the Walmart app and makes the cashier line at the store move faster.

Visa’s competitor, Mastercard, has had a similar solution since 2013 — MasterPass, where users just have to tap the “Buy with MasterPass” button at the time when they’re ready to make an online purchase. Walmart has also added MasterPass to its online and mobile checkout pages, which occurred earlier this month.

The company’s other participating retailers include Best Buy, Gap, Staples, Under Armour, and Virgin America, among others.

How to turn off Siri

While it has its detractors, Siri is still a popular virtual assistant for folks with an iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch — and that's not simply because it's built into those devices. Siri may not be able to answer all of your queries, but it still has many useful features. It can play your favorite tunes, set reminders, send quick messages, and control devices around your home.

Still, not everyone needs a virtual assistant at their beck and call, so if you'd prefer to keep Siri out of the way, Apple has provided a way to switch it off on one or all of your Apple devices.
