Star Wars: Episode VII may be one of the most anticipated movies of 2015, but the year after could belong to the Angry Birds. Celebrating one billion birds being slung from a catapult in its games, Rovio has revealed an all-star cast list to whet our appetite regarding the upcoming animated-movie-of-the-game. There are six major names already signed on, and these are Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Bill Hader, Peter Dinklage, and Maya Rudolph.

Horrible Bosses star Sudeikis has bagged the lead role, and will voice Red, a bird with some temper issues, a plot twist we never saw coming at all. He’ll be joined by Gad’s Chuck, the speedy yellow bird, and McBride’s Bomb. Bill Hader is down to play a pig, while Maya Rudolph will add her voice to Matilda, the little-known name of the egg-laying white bird. (Clearly the dream role for someone who has worked with Sam Mendes.) Finally, Peter Dinklage will bring his talent to the Mighty Eagle.

Rovio has also revealed an extensive list of supporting cast members, most notably Arrested Development’s Tony Hale, along with Keegan-Michael Key, Kate McKinnon, Danielle Brooks, and Jillian Bell. YouTube comedic team Smosh are also onboard, although there’s no information on the roles they’ll play.

Set to be directed by Fergal Reilly and Clay Kaytis, both confirmed at the end of last year, the 3D CGI movie will be written by The Simpsons and King of the Hill writer Jon Vitti. While Vitti’s credentials are solid, the directors are new to the job, having in the past worked on the animation and storyboarding side of hits such as Wreck It Ralph and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

Angry Birds will be released on July 1, 2016.

Two men sit and talk in Body of Lies.

Welcome to the week of Ridley Scott. The 86-year-old filmmaker's next movie is Gladiator II, the 29th feature film in his illustrious five-decade career. The sequel to the Oscar-winning Gladiator, Gladiator II stars Paul Mescal as Lucius, the former heir to the throne and son of Maximus (Russell Crowe) and Lucilla (Connie Nielsen). After Roman forces kill his wife and force him into slavery, Lucius trains to be a gladiator and sets his sights on exacting his vengeance against the Empire.

Gladiator II will definitely be an awesome theatrical experience. After seeing Gladiator II, why not revisit more projects in Scott's filmography? FAST services are hosting several of Scott's movies, including Gladiator, for free. Our suggestions include a traumatic war film, a groundbreaking road trip adventure, and an espionage thriller.

Are you ready to get Glicked this weekend? No, I didn't call you a dirty name, that's the actual moniker being used for the simultaneous release of Wicked and Gladiator II. I'm not going to see either this weekend as both are expected to make tons of cash and draw in a lot of crowds in theaters over the next few days.

I'm content to stay in this weekend and queue up a good movie (or three) on Netflix. Feel the same way? Well, here's a handy list of a few underrated movies that are worth your time. You can always watch Glicked later in the year ... or never, if that's more your vibe.
