The notion of studios releasing previews of movie trailers — essentially, previews of previews — might seem a bit ridiculous, but that’s the world we live in now. And when it comes to a movie as big as the upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, every sneak-peek is big news.

Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder is clearly well aware of that fact, and released a 20-second teaser for the much-anticipated superhero movie this week via Twitter.

Beyond confirming that Batman and Superman — or at the very least, their superhero suits — will indeed appear in Batman v. Superman, the teaser doesn’t reveal much of anything about the film or offer up any surprises for fans. The tone appears to be right in line with Snyder’s polarizing Superman reboot Man Of Steel, so there’s reason to believe that Dawn of Justice will offer a similar, angsty spin on its iconic DC Comics heroes.

However, the teaser was accompanied by the announcement of special screenings for the official, full-length Batman v. Superman trailer occurring April 20. The screenings will be held at several IMAX theaters around North America, and fans can RSVP for the screenings via the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice website. The list of participating theaters is fairly short, so don’t be surprised if you’re shut out of the event.

Directed by Snyder, Batman v. Superman brings back Henry Cavill as Superman, and features the debut of Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, and possibly Jason Momoa as Aquaman (Momoa’s appearance has yet to be confirmed). Other returning cast members from Man of Steel include Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled to hit theaters March 25, 2016.

The 12 most powerful DCEU characters, ranked
Supergirl flies in the sky in The Flash.

Black Adam promised that "the hierarchy of the DC universe is about to change." But that's even more true after The Flash, especially since the ending of that film has upended everything we thought we knew about the DC Extended Universe. So far, there have been 13 movies in the DCEU, or 14 if you count Zack Snyder's Justice League. And there are only two DCEU movies left to come, Blue Beetle and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which will presumably wrap things up before James Gunn and Peter Safran's DC Universe debuts with Superman: Legacy in 2025.

But we're not done with the DCEU yet, and there's no question that many of these characters are the equivalent of modern gods. Some of them are quite literally divine, like Wonder Woman. Their powers are often breathtaking, but the heroes aren't always the ones who end up on top. And yet, their never-ending battle with evil is one of the big reasons why these characters have endured for decades. And quite frankly, it's fun to figure out who the most powerful in the DCEU characters are. That's why we've updated our rankings now that The Flash is in theaters.

All the DC Easter eggs in The Flash movie
Michael Keaton's Batman sits in front of two versions of Barry Allen in The Flash.

At long last, after years of delays, DC's time-traveling blockbuster, The Flash, has reached theaters. When Barry Allen runs back in time to prevent his mother's murder, he ends up in a drastically different timeline without any heroes to protect the world from General Zod's invasion.

Given that the Flash travels the Multiverse and teams up with Michael Keaton's iconic version of Batman, this superhero film features an extraordinary number of Easter eggs that should give comic book fans a field day. To make it easier for viewers, here's a breakdown of all the DC references found in the Scarlet Speedster's first solo film.

5 scrapped ideas for DC’s Snyderverse that are better off canceled
Ares, Artemis, and Zeus in ancient Earth in "Zack Snyder's Justice League."

With the cancellation of Zack Snyder's planned story for the DC Extended Universe, many details about what could've been have come to light in recent years. The "Snyderverse," as fans have dubbed it, was supposed to include a solo film for Ben Affleck's Batman and two more sequels to Justice League, culminating in a final battle between the heroes of Earth and the evil god Darkseid.

Many ideas for the Snyderverse sound very thrilling and make fans wish they were never scrapped, but there are some that were arguably better off left on the cutting room floor.
