Maisie Williams stops by in the new trailer for Dr. Who Season 9

Buckle your seat belts, it’s TARDIS time.

The most recent Doctor Who trailer released this week has given us closer look at the time-traveling adventures of the current iteration of the Time Lord (Peter Capaldi) and his latest companion, Clara (Jenna Coleman). In between journeys in the TARDIS, they’ll encounter a host of bizarre creatures in season 9, including both old and new threats. The preview also includes a snippet of the much anticipated guest appearance of Game of Thrones‘ Maisie Williams.

Season 9 looks intense, to say the least. The teaser shows fire-breathing cat people, Clara cornered by the Daleks, and the return of the Master. As usual, The Doctor doesn’t seem fazed, though. In the trailer, he says, “Same old, same old. Just the Doctor and Clara in the TARDIS.”

Their “same old” includes dangerous alien planets, mercenaries, and more. Though the Doctor and Clara face one threat after another and end up in several sticky situations, they always appear confident. “He hasn’t got a plan yet,” says Clara at one point. “But he will have — and it will be spectacular.”

“I’m the Doctor, and I save people!” proclaims the Time Lord later, adding, “This is where your story ends.”

The trailer also offers a quick glimpse at Williams, whose guest appearance hasn’t yet been explained. Unfortunately, she’s shown so briefly that her part in the plot continues to be a mystery. All we know is that she appears alongside a fire-breathing cat person — nothing out of place there.

In addition to Maisie Williams, season 9 will include several guest stars. League Of Gentlemen‘s Reece Shearsmith will appear, as well as Michelle Gomez, who will return as Missy (The Master). Rebecca Front, Rufus Hound, Paul Kaye, Elaine Tan, Neet Mohan, Bethany Black, Paul Courtenay Hyu, Joivan Wade, and Sophie Stone will all have roles as well.

Season 9 of Doctor Who will debut on BBC America on Sept. 19.

Superman teaser trailer previews David Corenswet as a battered Man of Steel
Superman walks with a concerned look on his face.

"Home. Take me home," a bloodied Man of Steel says to Krypto the Superdog in the first teaser trailer for Superman.

The teaser begins with an injured Superman (David Corenswet) lying in the snow as he waits for the arrival of Krypto. Set to an edgier version of John Williams' Superman theme, the footage then transitions to Metropolis as Clark Kent heads to work inside the offices of The Daily Planet. Here, we get the first glance at Rachel Brosnahan's Lois Lane. There are multiple moments in the footage where Superman and Lois lovingly embrace, including a scene where they float off the ground.
