Game of Thrones Season 5: The Sight: Brienne and Podrick (HBO)
Fans of HBO’s Game of Thrones still have just over a month until the fifth season premieres, but the network is offering a glimpse of what’s to come with a pair of clips from the upcoming batch of new episodes.

The two clips were released via “The Sight,” HBO’s promotional campaign that draws its title from the prophetic ability displayed by some characters in George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” novels. The first clip features Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) discussing her views on leadership with Podrick Payne (Daniel Portman), while the second clip lets fans eavesdrop on a conversation between Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Mance Rayder (Ciarán Hinds).

The fifth season of Game of Thrones is expected to draw heavily from the fourth and fifth novels of Martin’s series, “A Feast for Crows” and “A Dance With Dragons,” with series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss returning as executive producers of the hit series and as showrunners for the program. A host of new cast members have already been announced for the fifth season, including Alexander Siddig, Jonathan Pryce, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.

The new season of Game of Thrones will premiere April 12 at 9pm on HBO. Can’t wait until then? If you’re jonesing for more details, here’s an insider’s guide to the next season, from Theon Greyjoy himself.

Jack Black gives Jason Momoa a crafting lesson in new Minecraft Movie clip
Jack Black stands near a castle wall in A Minecraft Movie.

It may have taken around 10 years of on-and-off development, but a big-screen Minecraft movie is finally on its way. Warner Bros. Pictures released the long-awaited first teaser for the film, aptly titled A Minecraft Movie, in early September to mixed responses from both casual viewers and die-hard video game fans alike. While some seemed to immediately buy into the Jared Hess-directed film's bright, colorful look and heightened, family-friendly sense of humor, others have already found its digital aesthetic and tone a bit off-putting.

Unsurprisingly, the film's producers and creative team seem intent on winning over as many existing Minecraft fans as they can. During this weekend's online 2024 Minecraft Live event, a new clip from A Minecraft Movie was unveiled that fittingly focuses on the art of crafting in the cubic fictional realm of the Overworld. In the clip, expert crafter Steve (Jack Black) introduces two of the film's Overworld newbies, Garrett (Jason Momoa) and Henry (Sebastian Hansen), to a crafting table and explains how to use it by creating an iron sword out of just a handful of materials and a hammer.

Samsung Galaxy Ring tipped to get two new sizes
The Samsung Galaxy Ring on someone's hand.

The Samsung Galaxy Ring almost immediately became an Oura Ring competitor due to its lower price, but there's a problem: it's only available up to size 13. If you have larger fingers, you might not be able to find one that fits comfortably. According to Max Jambor on X, that's soon going to be a thing of the past. The leaker claims that Samsung will announce Galaxy Rings in sizes 14 and 15 in the coming weeks.

When the Galaxy Ring first launched, it was available in sizes 5 to 13. That's the basic sizing standard in the U.S., but an increasing number of men have fingers that fall in the 14-15 range and need something slightly larger.
