Back in March, Kevin Smith hinted that a sequel to his 1995 film Mallrats was in the works, and now we have confirmation that the movie is not only happening, but it’s also found a new mall to call home.

Smith made the announcement on Facebook this week, and accompanied it with a photo of himself in front of the sign for the Exton Square Mall in Exton, Pennsylvania.

Unofficially titled “Mallbrats,” the sequel to the 1995 film will bring Smith back to the “View Askewniverse” he established with his first film, 1994’s Clerks, and expanded in subsequent films including MallratsChasing AmyDogma, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. The films featured many of the same cast members (including Ben Affleck and Smith himself) playing recurring characters in each film, sometimes in leading roles and other times as supporting characters or cameo roles.

The original Mallrats starred Jason Lee, Jeremy London, Ethan Suplee, Shannen Doherty, Michael Rooker, Renee Humphrey, Joey Lauren Adams, Sven-Ole Thorsen, Scott Mosier, Bryan Johnson, Walt Flanagan, Brian O’Halloran, Claire Forlani, and the recurring duo of Jason Mewes and Smith as Jay and Silent Bob, respectively. Legendary comic-book creator Stan Lee also played himself in a cameo role.

The 1994 film was shot at the Eden Prairie Center mall in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan team up for I Am Legend 2
Robert Neville lying on the floor next to a German Shepherd in I Am Legend.

In 2007, Warner Bros. adapted Richard Matheson's post-apocalyptic sci-fi classic I Am Legend as a film, with Will Smith in the leading role. While the ending of that film didn't leave much room for a sequel, Deadline is reporting that I Am Legend 2 has come together with some pretty serious star power. Not only is Smith slated to headline the sequel, but he will also appear alongside Michael B. Jordan as co-lead in the movie. Both Smith and Jordan will also produce the project.

In the first film, Smith portrayed Dr. Robert Neville, one of the creators of a failed attempt to cure cancer. Instead of curing mankind of a virulent disease, the customized virus killed most of the human population. The vast majority of the survivors mutated into vampire-like creatures known as Darkseekers. Robert was one of the only remaining humans, and he lived a solitary existence as he tried to find a cure.

Intel has some major overclocking news about its upcoming Arc graphics cards
LEDs forming a graphics card.

Last week, Intel announced its new Intel Arc brand for discrete enthusiast graphics, its new XeSS upscaling technology, and the code names for its next four generations of gaming graphics cards. In a blog post recapping the week, Roger Chandler, vice president and general manager of Client Graphics Products at Intel, revealed that Arc drivers will come with a built-in overclocking utility.

Currently, AMD provides an overclocking tool in its Radeon Software, but Nvidia doesn't. There is a laundry list of GPU overclocking tools, many of which are better than the one available in Radeon Software. Still, having access to sliders to allow you to dial in a quick overclock can increase your GPU performance without much hassle.
