Fox’s Empire is adding a new guest star to serve as a rival to Lucious (played by Terrence Howard). The character is set to be portrayed by rapper, producer, and actor Alvin Nathaniel Joiner, better known as Xzibit, reports Deadline.

Xzibit’s character will be Leslie “Shyne” Johnson, who is described as “100% wolf and 100% gangster.” Shyne has tried his hand at many facets of the music business, from managing artists to starting record imprints, but it sounds like he has largely struggled to achieve the success he desires. In the meantime, he has been involved in some not-so-noble pursuits on the side — namely, drugs, guns, and extortion.

As far as how this affects Lucious, apparently Shyne feels the industry’s heavyweights have kept him out and has a lot of resentment, especially when it comes to the Empire Entertainment CEO. We would expect him to stir up trouble during his time on the show, however long that may be. There’s no word yet on how long fans can expect to see Xzibit on Empire.

Xzibit first made a name for himself as a rapper but later broke into acting. He has appeared in multiple movies, including 8 MilexXx: State of the UnionThe Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, and more. More recently, he guest starred on the CBS series Hawaii Five-O. His upcoming Empire gig adds him to the series’ growing list of guest stars, which includes Chris Rock, Vivica A. Fox, Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Rosie O’Donnell, and more.

Empire stars Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Jussie Smollett, Bryshere “Yazz” Gray, Trai Byers, Grace Gealey, Kaitlin Doubleday, Gabourey Sidibe, Ta’Rhonda Jones, and Serayah McNeill. The series was created by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, both of whom executive produce alongside Brian Grazer, Ilene Chaiken, and Francie Calfo.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch preview: Clones, chaos, and the rise of the Empire
Star Wars: The Bad Batch

It's been more than seven years since Star Wars: The Clone Wars ended its original run, but the story of the Star Wars saga's clone troopers is far from over. The series was given an additional, story-ending seventh season on streaming service Disney+ a year ago, and now the new series Star Wars: The Bad Batch returns to that tumultuous period in the franchise's timeline.

Premiering on Star Wars Day, May 4, Star Wars: The Bad Batch follows the members of Clone Force 99, a group of clone troopers  introduced in the final season of The Clone Wars whose genetic mutations during the cloning process gave them unique abilities -- and also earned them the nickname "The Bad Batch." The series picks up as Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine (secretly Sith Lord Darth Sidious) issues Order 66, the command that forces the clone troopers to turn against the Jedi, setting the stage for the eradication of the Jedi Order and the creation of the Galactic Empire.

The top of the Empire State Building turned red on Tuesday night to mark the imminent arrival of NASA’s Perseverance rover on the surface of Mars.

The New York City landmark, which, rather fittingly, features a rocket-like appearance, tweeted an image of its red top with the comment: “Together with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, we’re celebrating the upcoming landing of Perseverance on Mars with lights in all red tonight!”

On February 27, YouTube TV, YouTube's live TV streaming service, announced via Twitter that it was unable to reach an agreement with Sinclair Broadcast Group during renegotiations, and would no longer offer Fox Regional Sports Networks, including YES Network, beginning February 29.

However, it seems the two warring parties have agreed to a ceasefire of sorts. YouTube issued the following tweet right before the weekend:
