Originally launching as a no-cost, ad-free alternative to other music streaming services, there was a hint that changes would be coming. Back in April, Samsung hinted that there would be a free version of Milk Music that would include ads, and a $4 premium version, which would eliminate them. Now, Samsung has made it official.
Paying $4 a month for Premium Milk will eliminate ads and give you the ability to listen to stations without having a network connection. In addition, Premium subscribers can perform unlimited skips, turn off DJ commentary, and pause Milk Music using a Sleep Timer. The update also includes performance enhancements and bug fixes.
You must have a Samsung account if you are to take advantage of the $4 per month offering. Milk Music remains a U.S.-only service, so if you’re interested in the service and live outside of the United States, you’re out of luck. In addition, Milk Music remains exclusive to select Samsung Galaxy devices.
