Give your digital photos an Old Master look with eWilner Frames app

If presentation is everything, then sometimes, it’s really the frame that makes the art. At least, that’ll be the case when you start framing your digital art with the eWilner Frames app, the tool that lets you elevate your selfies and cat photos with frames fit for a Picasso. If the Wilner name sounds familiar, it’s because Eli Wilner is one of the most renowned and respected frame dealer and art collectors in the business. In fact, his famous gallery, Eli Wilner & Company, has framed works that sit in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and have been auctioned off by Sotheby’s and Christie’s. And now, he’s bringing his famous frames to your cell phone snaps.

“Throughout the history of art, frames have been essential to the presentation of pictures,” Wilner said in an interview with the New York Times. “In the digital age, as more people take and share photographs, it’s important that we not forget how great frames can also enhance pictures from their wedding, honeymoon or bar mitzvah, and make them special.”

Of course, making these photographs special, especially at the hands of Mr. Wilner, often costs a small fortune — his frames sell for between $10,000 to $250,000. But thanks to the unprecedented access brought about by the mobile age, spending that much is no longer necessary. The eWilner Frames app lets you dress up your favorite smartphone shots with one of four signature frames for free, and a wide selection of others for just 99 cents each.

The app includes over 100 frames to choose from, and is as easy to use as any other digital framing service — just take a photo in the app or use images from your camera roll or photo albums, and crop, tweak, or add effects to them at will. You can send photos via email or upload them directly to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media sites, or if you’d like, you can even print the framed images out. And if you’re interested in the history behind the frames, don’t worry — the eWilner Frames app comes complete with historical descriptions of each frame.

So do something with all those photos you’ve been admiring. And give your favorite pics a better frame than your iPhone case.

Filter-free and fun, the Fujifilm Instax Mini 11 Instant Camera is on sale Right Now for Prime Day
fujifilm instax mini 11 camera prime big deal days

It's 2024, and you’re considering a point-and-shoot camera. Zero judgment here. I miss the good ol’ days of flipping through actual photo albums instead of doom-scrolling on Instagram. You can get back to those days by snagging a (in the ice white color), and it’s the perfect time because it’s on sale. Get it for 24% off during Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days, but hurry while inventory is going strong.
There’s something magical about having a physical photo right in your hand seconds after snapping the shot, and it adds a fun, retro vibe to moments you want to capture and keep. Plus, having an actual picture to hold and display can be so much more satisfying than just another digital file on your phone. I picked one up two years ago for my eight-year-old daughter, and it’s been an instant hit in our household. And now, at its $59 sale price, I'm definitely going to be stocking up on a few to gift ahead of the holiday season.

How the Fujifilm Instax Mini 11 works
The delightful throwback comes with a FUJINON 60mm lens and an automatic exposure feature that adjusts the shutter speed for the best shot, even in low light. While the picture quality won’t be as crisp as what your smartphone can capture, it’ll still produce a quality image worthy of slapping on a refrigerator.
If selfies are your thing, this camera has a dedicated Selfie Mode (with a mirror). We set up a DIY photo booth for my daughter's birthday party with sticker frames so each kid could go home with a photo souvenir, and it was a total hit.
You can opt to make it a set with a range of accessories to buy separately, like a carrying case, a handy strap, those sticker borders I mentioned, and photo albums to hold the memories.
