Battlefield V’s War Stories give us a new perspective on World War II, but the game’s lack of polish across both its campaign and multiplayer modes are almost impossible to ignore. For fans of DICE’s large-scale, destruction-filled combat, however, there is still plenty to love here.

Nintendo has confirmed that it has no plans to enable cross-play functionality in any of its first-party games, the majority of which are exclusive to a single system like the Switch or 3DS. Microsoft is currently the only first-party publisher to release games this way on a regular basis.

Bethesda says ‘Fallout 76’ servers will be online ‘forever’
Bethesda's Fallout 76 requires an internet connection in order to play, but according to communications chief Pete Hines, the company has no plans to ever take the servers offline. It's the first multiplayer Fallout game Bethesda has ever made, after previously developing multiple single-player games.
Overwatch fans can finally pull the trigger on a McCree Nerf blaster
Blizzard and Hasbro have announced a new Nerf blaster based on the Overwatch game. McCree's revolver has been re-created as part of the Nerf Rival line, and is the third blaster Nerf has made based on Overwatch thus far. Cheaper "Microshots" blasters and a line of six-inch figures are also on the way.

Strategy guide images show off full ‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ map
The full game map for Red Dead Redemption 2 has leaked via the official strategy guide. Several locations from the original Red Dead Redemption are included alongside new locations. Character names are also displayed on the maps, showing where you'll be able to encounter them in the game.
Leaked ‘Overwatch’ Lego sets include Reinhardt, Winston, Mercy, and more
Target has released images for several upcoming Overwatch-themed Lego sets. The sets include a wide variety of characters from the launch version of the game, as well as a few famous locations. A buildable Bastion figure had already been revealed for pre-order on the official Blizzard store.
‘Fortnite’ won’t make ‘Save the World’ mode free in 2018 after all
Epic Games has delayed the transition for Fortnite's Save the World free-to-play mode. It was previously scheduled to become free by the end of 2018, just like the battle royale mode, but more features and systems need to be implemented before the switch. It's currently half off, however.
